Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 January 2025

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Payzuu’s website, applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using Payzuu, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Payzuu provides tools that help businesses request and track payments using features such as payment links, QR codes, invoices, receipts, and Payzuu-to-Payzuu requests. The Service may change over time as we improve functionality and reliability.

3. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract and comply with all applicable laws to use Payzuu. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.

5. Fees

Any fees (if applicable) will be clearly communicated before you use a paid feature. Some features may be free at launch and may change over time. Where required, we will provide notice of material pricing changes.

6. Payments and third-party providers

Payment processing may involve third-party providers (for example, banks or payment initiation providers). Completion of a payment request depends on the payer and their bank or provider. Payzuu does not guarantee that any request will be paid.

Third-party services are subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for outages, errors, delays, or actions of third-party providers.

7. Prohibited use

You must not use Payzuu for unlawful activity, fraud, misleading payment requests, harassment, abuse, or to interfere with the Service or other users. You must not attempt to bypass security, access accounts that are not yours, or reverse engineer the Service except where permitted by law.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep Payzuu available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may affect availability. Support may be provided through the Support page and may vary by plan or service stage.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by Payzuu or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Payzuu is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

11. Termination

You may stop using Payzuu at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached, if required by law, or for security and operational reasons. Where reasonable, we will try to provide notice.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting an update in the app or on this page). Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless local law requires otherwise. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws apply.
